Fri-date with the Man at Propeller Rooftop Bar

Since we both get to off work early, he suggested to go to Propeller Bar (rooftop bar at Bay Hotel, opposite Vivo City) for their Merrier Hours Buffet where you get to enjoy 3-Hours of FREE-FLOW alcohol and assorted food items @ $58 from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays (except eve of PH OR PH), while enjoying the sunset. The FREE-FLOW alcohol includes house pour wines, house pour spirits, draught beer.

With a panoramic view of the Harbourfront precinct, this rooftop bar is the ideal chillout spot for your happy hour drinks or late night tipples. Propeller has both an indoor air-conditioned area with an extensive wine cellar and an alfresco area. Pair your drinks with our tantalizing dishes while enjoying the harbour view and fireworks every evening. Try our Wonders of Propeller cocktails which are inspired the various Wonders of the World.

The food items from the buffet bar includes Mussels, Spaghetti, Guiness Balls, Sea Bass, Black Pepper Chicken, Mixed Vegetables, Cold Cuts, Pizzas, etc. I think we were the only ones who went for the Merrier Hours 😀 The food were nice and tasty, but somehow they didn’t manage to keep it hot enough. We started eating at about 645, the food were not hot, but I still like it. Just that the spaghetti stick together after a while; perhaps they can use Penne, Fusilli, Macaroni, etc, which is easier to mix with the sauce at the bottom when ready to eat. We also ordered Calamari Rings with Tartar Sauce, it’s nice. I wanna try their Teriyaki Steak Cubes in my next visit 😀 I wanted Tiramisu but was not available, shall try it next time :(.

Drinks

We told the staff that the food was not warm when one of the staff asked for our feedback on the buffet spread. She really feedbacked to the manager and we got our Calamari Rings on the house. I didn’t expect that :p Thank You 🙂

You can also catch soccer matches here too. We think that we will frequent this place with our friends. Oh! Watch out for fireworks from Sentosa island at 8.10PM.

I didn’t realise there’s an indoor air-conditioned wine cellar though. Or maybe I’m too into the alfresco area. WAHAHHA… I don’t want the traditional type, I want something different and also to create an unique experience for us and our guests. So we are now exploring the possible alfresco dining places or rooftop bars for our special day 😀

And this year, VivoCity Has A Disney Tsum Tsum Themed Mid-Autumn Fest With Over 2,000 Lanterns. We went there to have a look first 😀 The Disney Tsum Tsum lanterns are installed on the entire rooftop garden at Level 3.

Disney’s Frozen theme, located at the water feature area at the SkyPark. You can get a wishing card for S$2 from TANGS Customer Service Counter, pen down your wishes and release the floating lantern here. 100% gross proceeds will be donated to Children’s Cancer Foundation.

We were there only for a short while.
