Happy 10th Anniversary – Our Wedding Day

Our Wedding Journey Part II

Our Wedding Day
Started the day at 315am, OH MAN, it’s early. Makeup artist came at 4am *yawn*. Hisham and Zero arrived at 6am. They set up what’s necessary and started snapping and video-ing :D. Groom & brothers arrived at 7am. We did the gatecrash hush hush in order not to disturb other hotel guests.

Most of our friends take their outdoor shoot in town or Punggol or some reservoir. H wanted to be different. They were researching it in the car while we travel from hotel to his house. They then decided to have the shoot at the “last kampong” in Singapore. Well, somewhere in Buangkok, I don’t know the exact location, I was too tired and I just follow blindly that day. WAHAHAHA… IT’S A SUPER DUPER HOT DAY and I got pretty agitated and hot after a few shots. I was perspiring. Thankfully, my sisters were there to calm me down. The photos turned out GREAT!!!!! Am glad that I tolerated a bit.

Gotta thank Hisham and Zero for accommodating to our last min request. In the plan, I indicated if we have time, then we will go for an outdoor shoot. We were already “over-timed” when we decided the location. WAHAHHAA…

Went back to the hotel at about 130 – 2pm to rest before the MUA came at 330pm. Oh man, no time to sleep, I was in a daze. WAHAHAHHA….

2nd session of the Tea Ceremony started at 6pm. March-In started at 710pm sharp. We had a very different March-In. We do away with the usual Beautiful in White or Perfect by Ed Sheeran. We march-in with an EDM song! WAHAHAHHA…. We basically “danced” in, stopped at his colleague’s table for a while to create the rar rar, then continue to walk towards the stage 😀

We did all the necessary at one go before starting the dinner. After march-in, we did the cake cutting, solemnisation, champagne popping and yum seng. WAHAHAHA…sorry to keep my guests waiting for about an hour before the first dish was served.

His Vow:
I, H, take you L to be my wife. I promise to love you, to be your best friend, to respect and support you, to be patient with you, to work together with you to achieve our goals, to accept you unconditionally, and to share life with you throughout the years.

My Vow:
I, L, take you H, to be my husband, my partner in life.
I promise to love you through good and the bad, through joy and the sorrow.
I will give you all my love, and you shall not walk alone.
I have no greater gift to give. As your love is my anchor, and your trust is my strength,
Together, we will face all of life’s experiences and share one another’s dreams and goals.
I give you my hand, my heart and my love from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

After the exchange of vows, the Solemniser even said, “I sensed a Liverpool fan in the house”. I’m surprised that Mr Chew caught that. WAHAHAHA….H was amazed that I managed to include that line 😀

H and I started going around chatting with our friends after 2nd dish. So, basically, we were not at our seats from 3rd dish onwards. WAHAHAHHA… I wanted to have the time to chat with our guests, and not to waste time in preparing for a 2nd march in and then thank them and apologise for not being able to spend time with them. We did manage to go to every friends’ table and chat for a while.

To be honest, everything happened so fast and in such a blur that day. Everything was like in a rush, even march-in was faster than planned. WAHAHHAA… I am really happy that I am able to plan our wedding in this manner. Of course, there are hiccups and arguments along the way. I am grateful that H accommodated my plans and requests. I am glad that the day went on smoothly and our guests love the arrangements, our wedding style and were satisfied with the food.

To all our guests,
From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank you for joining us on our very special day. And some flew to SG especially for the event. We couldn’t thank you enough and we are very happy and honoured to have you all with us.

To the brothers and sisters, you guys had been a great help on our wedding day and ensure everything went well. Love You!!!
